Studies and Publications:

1973
Assessment study of the need for a Family Counseling Centre in the City of North Bay. This led to the formation of the Family Life Centre which is known today as the Community Counseling Centre of Nipissing and employs over 50 staff members.
1974
Domum was a proposal prepared with the financial support of the Presbytery of the United Church of Canada as a model for the development of a residential facility for isolated and homeless people in North Bay.
1976
Temiscaming United Church Congregational Needs Analysis. This was sponsored by the congregation to assess the needs and provide insight concerning the delivery of services to the members.
1976
Goals for Northeastern Ontario --- This study was commissioned by the Municipal Advisory Committee for Northeastern Ontario. This was a position paper in response to the Design for Development which was published by the Ministry of Treasury, Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs of the Province of Ontario.

Northeastern Ontario Regional Economic Analysis --- This study was commissioned by the Municipal Advisory Committee and funded by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Treasury, Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs.

Where Have All the Students Gone? --- This was a study of the occupational achievements of the first ten-year cohort of students of Nipissing University students. It was sponsored and funded by Nipissing University.

Member of the Budget Review Team for the Ottawa Carleton Children's Aid Society as a representative of the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies.
1979
Report on Child Abuse and Children's Services Deficiencies in the Community --- Sponsored by the Children's Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and financed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
1982
Nipissing District Day Care Needs Survey --- This survey studied day care needs throughout the District of Nipissing and resulted in the establishment of the first provincially funded Day Care Centres in the District. The study was funded by the Children's Services Advisory Committee.
1988
Consultant to the Province of Alberta resulting in the formation of the Red Deer Safe Community Project.
1990
Consultant to the Province of Alberta, Ministry of Health on the Healthy Communities Project.
1995
Consultant to Apeks Ltd. --- Engaged to assist with the raising of $9,500,000 capital required to develop a tri-cone bit manufacturing facility in the City of North Bay. Apeks is the first Canadian company to manufacture tri-cone bits.
1995
Provided services to the Business Adjustment Services Committee of the City of North Bay as Chair of a number of Committees that were set up to assist small business in their efforts to deal with challenges and problems.
1996
Provided services to the Industrial Adjustment Services Division of Human Resources Development Canada over a three-year period to assist a number of medium sized businesses prepare for and adjust to change and growth.
1998
Completed Employer Study for the City of North Bay Business Adjustment Services Committee to determine the qualifications and attributes which area employers are seeking in new employees.
1999
Provided consulting services to the Nipissing First Nation to prepare a Head Start Submission for the children in the 0 - 6 age range on the Nipissing # 10 Reserve. The original consulting contract was expanded to incorporate a study of nutritional needs of young pregnant mothers on the Reserve.
1999
Conducted Client Audit of Northern Health Information Partnership.
1999
Conducted Community Needs Assessment of the Nipissing First Nation for the Lawrence Commanda Health Centre.
2000
Conducted Intermode Market Research Study for the Nipissing East Parry Sound Economic Summit.

Presented a paper entitled "Social Class and Achievement Orientation" at the Canadian Association of Sociology and Anthropology Conference in Calgary, Alberta. Subsequently it was published in the Canadian Review of Sociology and Anthropology.
1969
Presented a paper entitled "Achievement Orientation and Expected Occupational Mobility" at the Canadian Association of Sociology and Anthropology Conference in St. John's, Nfld.
1973
Published a paper entitled "Authority and Family Stability" in the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies Journal.
1974
Chaired Session on "International Tensions" at the American Association for the Study of Social Problems Conference in San Francisco, California.
1977
Co-Chairman of the Northeastern Ontario Regional Economic Conference, held at Nipissing University, North Bay, Ontario.
